Shopping for rings can be challenging if you’re unsure of your size. But fear not! Let’s explore how to find out your ring size and ensure you accurately choose the perfect fit.
See the following sizing conversion chart, to give you a better idea about how each of these parameters relate:
Ring Diameter - Measure Across the Top of Your Finger:
The simplest method is to measure across the top of your finger. You can also refer to our full article on measuring your finger yourself to find your size. For instance, if you measure 17.3mm across the top of your finger, you refer to the 'Diameter' column of the chart and see you need a size O (for Oscar).
Ring Circumference - String or Ribbon Method:
Alternatively, wrap a piece of skinny string or ribbon around your finger.
Measure the length of the string. For example, if it’s 55mm around your finger, you refer to the 'Circumference' column of the chart and see you'll also need a size O.
When to Measure:
Keep in mind that your finger size can fluctuate throughout the day due to factors like hormones, heat, and humidity. Measure multiple times during the day or over a few days to determine your best size.
How Should the Ring Fit?
The ring should feel comfortable—snug enough not to slide off but loose enough to fit over your knuckle easily.
Larger or Smaller?
If you’re between sizes, opt for slightly larger rather than too small.
Wide Band Rings:
For wider band rings (over 7mm thick), consider going one size larger than usual.
Larger Knuckles:
If you have a larger knuckle, measure both your knuckle and the part of your finger where the ring will sit. Choose a size between your finger size and knuckle size for a perfect fit.
